Medical Doctor
Dr Annie graduated from University of Melbourne with Honours in 2003. She obtained her Fellowship in General Practice in 2009 and Masters in Public Health in 2011, and has worked in a diverse range of settings. She has extensive experience in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander primary health care and has built strong community connections over more than a decade in this area. She has gained extra skills in child health with the Westmead Child Health Program, has experience working closely with developmental paediatricians and allied health teams to improve outcomes for families. She has also worked at Brisbane Youth Service, Refugee Health Service, Mater Antenatal and Postnatal clinics with a special interest in Infant and Perinatal Mental Health. Annie is a keen medical educator, teaching medical students and GP registrars the art of medicine. She is a member of Australian Society of Psychological Medicine and has a passion for psychologically informed healthcare.
Annie is a mum of two primary school aged children. She loves camping, playing piano, swimming and baking. Annie brings a breadth of experience with a comprehensive approach and a friendly compassionate style. She works closely with families to optimise their health and wellbeing, develop their strengths, and support their journey through the healthcare system
